REC EZ Forms returns for online service requests
LPFM and other FM broadcast stations can now send online requests for certain FCC filing services.
RIVERTON, MD (July 2, 2025) — REC Networks has relaunched our EZforms platform for making requests for REC assistance on certain FCC application types.
EZforms allow licensees and permittees of Low Power FM (LPFM), full-service commercial and noncommercial FM and FM translator stations to request REC to handle the filing of their FCC applications. EZforms replaces the need to make an initial phone call or email inquiry to REC for certain application types.
When a request is placed through EZforms, the request is automatically placed into REC’s workflow tracking system with most of the information that we would ask during an email or telephone consultation. REC is then notified by email when a request is placed in the system. EZforms allows REC to ask for the information needed up front without having to wait for email responses or callbacks thus reducing the wait.
At relaunch, EZforms will be available for license to cover, silent notifications/STAs and administrative update requests for LPFM, noncommercial educational full-power FM and commercial FM stations as well as for commercial and noncommercial FM translator stations. Additional relaunch features for LPFM stations include the ability to request the start of applications for assignment of license and transfer of control (gradual or sudden board changes of more than 50%) as well as for modification of license applications for changes in a station’s antenna and/or feedline. Other engineering requests, such as location moves, height changes and channel changes for all FM station types can be requested by emailing or calling REC Networks directly.
A prior client relationship with REC is not required to use EZforms. REC will continue to correspond with applicants prior to sending an invoice or making any FCC filings if the request is started in EZforms.
LPFM grantees from the Third Generation LPFM Filing Window who need to notify the FCC of the completion of their initial construction can use EZforms to request REC handle that application. This is available regardless of whether REC handled your initial window application or not. If REC originally handled your application on a retail basis, your license to cover application will be filed at no charge pursuant to the agreement made with your original service payment.
EZforms will also be used to handle requests for event-based filing requirements such as the annual EAS National Periodic Test (ETRS) filings and for the next cycle of radio broadcast license renewals, which will start in mid-2027.
After the relaunch, REC will be adding functionality to EZforms for other application types including the ability to do same site channel changes for LPFM stations and the ability to start assignment and transfer of control applications for many full-service and FM translator stations.
EZforms will operate as a Toybox application and uses the main REC Content Website as its interface and is mobile friendly. EZforms will also use resources from REC’s Enhanced License Management System (eLMS) to better customize the experience. EZforms is one of the last REC services that was a part of the overall System40 server transition, which started in late 2024.
Fees for REC services requested through EZforms will follow the transparent rates outlined in the REC Networks Professional Services Rate Card. While EZforms will quote charges, those charges are approximate and can vary based on market and station size for full-service and translator applicants as well as discounts for those who have paid for past services from REC consistent with our Rate Card.
To access REC EZforms, use the link on the main REC Networks website or go directly to https://recnet.com/ez. Users experiencing difficulty using the forms should first assure that their browser has JavaScript enabled and to contact REC for assistance. Be sure to describe the problem that is being experienced and which browser is being used.
