Deadlines announced for ULS and OPIF. REC Sixth Notification.
We are still waiting on a deadline for LMS.
In a Public Notice issued by the FCC on Monday, November 17, 2025, the agency has announced updates deadlines for several systems and proceedings.
The Notice does not provide a new filing deadline for the License Management System (LMS) used for radio and television broadcast applications. The agency advises that the Media Bureau will issue their own notice and that users should also monitor the LMS Help Center page.
For the Online Public Inspection File system (OPIF), the FCC has extended the due date for the 3Q 2025 quarterly report to December 1, 2025. This applies to full-service commercial and noncommercial stations and does not apply to LPFM stations.
EEO filings that were due on October 1, 2025 are now due on November 24, 2025. Again, this does not apply to LPFM stations.
For ULS personal radio services that include, but are not limited to amateur radio, general mobile radio service and commercial operator licenses; renewal applications that were or are due between October 1, 2025 through and including March 5, 2026 are now due on March 5, 2026. Therefore, if your ham or GMRS license “expired” during the shutdown, you may continue operating but make sure you get your renewal (with filing fee) in by March 5, 2026.
For ULS purposes other than personal radio services (broadcast auxiliary, land mobile, microwave links, etc.), the deadline for renewal and other time critical filings is now December 5, 2025.
Any Special Temporary Authority which was set to expire between October 1, 2025 through December 5 is now extended to December 5, 2025 (unless this is overridden for broadcast by the Media Bureau when they release their advice on LMS).
We will issue a Seventh Notification when we receive news about LMS.
