Congress passes continuing resolution preventing Government shutdown
FCC and other Federal Government operations remained uninterrupted.
Very early this morning by a vote of 85 to 11, the U.S. Senate passed a continuing resolution (CR) to keep the Federal Government funded through March 14, 2025. Earlier in the evening, the House of Representatives passed the CR by a vote of 366 to 34.
CNN reported that the Office of Management and Budget, which highly anticipated passage of the CR in the Senate, did not start the processes to shut down the government, even though the midnight deadline was not met.
As such, operations at the Federal Communications Commission will remain “business as usual” with all systems remining operational and all original filing deadlines still in effect. As such, REC operations remain the same.
